Nine Canadians move on as opening week of PGA Tour Q-School closes out
It’s one down, two to go for nine Canadians, including medalist Ted Brown (pictured) that passed the opening-stage test at PGA Tour Qualifying as first-week action wrapped up Saturday.
Three of the five Canadians playing in Spring, Tex. Managed to stay inside the number, including Ted Brown of Peterborough, Ont., who took medalist honours with a four-day total of minus-12. David Markle of Shelbourne, Ont. and Bryn Parry of North Vancouver, BC also advanced at Cypresswood CC.
Adam Short, of Vineland, Ont. was one of three Canucks to stay in the Q-School game in Auburn, Ala., finishing T9 to join Toronto’s JC Deacon and Julien Trudeau of Montreal in the second stage next month.
