Challenging golf in a peaceful setting is just a 20-minute drive from downtown Toronto. Established in 1964, Markland Wood Golf Club provides its members with a beautiful landscape in the heart of the GTA. Over the years, Markland has flourished due to a friendly and welcoming membership built on a solid financial foundation.

Just a Short Drive Away

Conveniently located on the border of Etobicoke and Mississauga, the club is the focal point for the beautiful Markland Wood community – located just 2 kilometers west of Highway #427 along Bloor Street.

Etobicoke Creek is a major feature of the Eric Hanson design, making its presence known on 13 holes of the 6300-yard course. With its challenging layout, Markland Wood plays significantly longer than the yardage suggests. It will take players more than a few rounds to discover the best areas to land on the tree-lined fairways and well-bunkered greens.

In the last decade, the club has invested extensively upgrades to all aspects of the course. And now $6.5 million is going to create a fully renovated clubhouse with large lockers, lounges, dining areas, function rooms and patios. Completion is set for the fall of 2008 and will be available to members and non-members alike for either social or corporate functions.

People are the Difference at Markland Wood
Head Pro, Frank Marando, has been at Markland for over 25 years. His friendly staff is proud to offer exceptional service in the fully stocked pro shop. Frank and his CPGA assistant professionals also conduct numerous junior programs, member tournaments and game improvement clinics throughout the golf season.

With less than 530 men, lady and junior members, playing Markland Wood when you want is easy. An enjoyable round takes only 4 hours, leaving lots of time left to sample the excellent cuisine provided by Executive Chef Tim Ayiotis in the new lounge, dining room or veranda.

Members believe they have one of the best-maintained courses in the region. And there’s more to come with continuous improvements planned for the next four years, adding both length and variety to the course.
